I have successfully saved several jobs from your job board but do not really know if you automatically send out my information or if must take further steps to apply for the positions.

General Information
How is Crew4Crew.net different from a traditional crew agency?
|
Crew4Crew is a web-based international crew placement service which provides crew and captains/owners a means to connect directly with each other during the hiring process without an intermediary (crew agent). Crew4Crew will always be FREE to crew to post their CV/resume and search for a job.
Crew4Crew was created for crew by crew to provide an alternative to traditional crew agencies. However, Crew4Crew is not just for crew, captains & owners. Crew4Crew is designed to be a resource for anyone looking to fill or find a yachting industry position. Our reasonable fees make it viable for brokers, marine contractors, boat yards, and even crew agencies to search for crew and post jobs confidentially.

Crew4Crew will ALWAYS be FREE to crew to post their CV/resume and/or search for a job. The job seeking process is challenging enough without having to pay to provide access to your CV/resume or to search for a job.

Crew4Crew.net does not charge any commissions. We give employers direct database access to crew member profiles without the "Middle Man." Employers are able to purchase a week, month, or yearly membership which allows them to search hassle free and gives crew a chance to promote themselves to the employer.

When you say "saved jobs" does that mean you have put them into your "Potential Crew List"?
When jobs are put into your "Potential Crew List" employers are able to see that you have done so.
When you search for a job there is a tab that states "View Details", once you select this you will be directed to a new screen. To the top and bottom right there is a link that states "Contact Emplyer." From here you are able to directly write the employer a message. Once you do this the Employer is able to pull up all of your uploaded information from his inbox.

In order to have an Active Profile, you must have a CV/Resume and Photo uploaded. Until you do so, employers are unable to access your profile.
|
|
What is the difference between a "Qualified Profile" and a "Standard Profile"?
|
A Standard Profile is the first step to creating your profile. If you are listed as Standard:Inactive, you must upload a CV and Photo. Once these documents are uploaded you will be listed as Standard:Active. As soon as you are Standard:Active employers are able to view and access your profile.
A Qualified Profile shows the employer that you have gone above and beyond to set a professional standard within our database. A Qualified Profile lets the employer that all of your information is current and legible, your professional summary and qualifications are well-written, and your profile is well-maintained. In order to get qualified you must obtain a qualified checklist and make sure all the fields in your profile reflect the qualified profile guidelines. You also must have all your certificates and endorsements uploaded and labeled.
When you are ready to be Qualified you must e-mail info@crew4crew.net with subject line:PMCR, please include your Profile Number and your full name. Please make sure that you have gone over the checklist because the service is free to you the first time, but if we need to look it over more than once a $15 reviewal fee will be charged.
