Crew4Yachts/Crew4Crew was developed as an alternative to crew agencies to give you more cost-effective options during the hiring process. Given the complexity of matching the right crew with the right yacht, we believe the best person to make that decision is YOU! That's why our focus is on providing you access to the resources needed to locate that perfect match, while keeping the process affordable.

The difference between traditional crew placement and Crew4Yachts is that we are not an employment agency whose income is dependent on placing crew. Rather, our role is to provide you with direct access to a vast selection of international yacht crew, while remaining cost-effective.

How does it work?
We will search our database of available yacht crew based on the criteria indicated on the Crew Request Form. Five matching crew profiles (only those that are still available for work) will be emailed or faxed to you, along with any uploaded employment documents (CV/Resume, References, Certificates, etc.). If you are interested in a specific profile, but require further information, we will be happy to act as the "intermediary" until you are confident that you want to schedule an interview or contact the crewmember directly. From there, you can determine if you have enough CV’s to choose from or whether or not you need us to continue the search.

We will also "Post the Job" on our website so that crew can request to be considered for the position. All identifying details are kept confidential, and we field all communications to be sure they meet your specified requirements. If they do, then their profile and employment documents will be forwarded on to you.

How much will it cost?
A traditional crew agency typically charges a "placement fee" of 50% to 100% of the crewmember’s monthly salary. For example, depending on the vessel size, the fee for placing an entry level stewardess could range anywhere from $1200 to $3000 and usually is only guaranteed for the first 60 days. Our pricing differs from the traditional crew agency. Our fees are based on providing the information you need to make an effective and informed decision, not on whether we "place" crew in the position. This gives us the ability to remain objective and provide you with the most relevant CVs available.

For a crew search there is a $200 administrative fee, which includes 5 crew profiles and any uploaded documents. The administrative fee includes performing the crew search and placing potential crew profiles in your "Potential Crew List", forwarding crew profiles and uploaded files via email/fax, posting the job and fielding any crew inquiries, as well as any intermediary communications with crew to solicit further documentation and/or clarify any questions you might have to determine their eligibility before contacting them directly. Additional crew profiles may be requested at $10 per profile. If the database does not contain profiles that meet your requirements as specified on the crew request form, we will continue the search for 30 days, reporting on a weekly basis.
