Crew4Yachts is an online yacht crew platform where employers and crew connect. Employers use the platform to hire qualified yacht crew via direct searches and job postings. Yacht crew members use the platform to market themselves and apply to jobs posted by employers directly through their online accounts without an intermediary. Crew4Yachts is not a recruiting agency, do not employ agents, and do not receive a commission for job placement.

Q: Does Crew4Yachts charge employers a commission when I get hired?

A:

No, since Crew4Yachts is not a crew agency, there is no commission paid out. Crew4Yachts is a subscription based membership website for the employers. Employers pay a monthly fee to access our online platform of crew accounts. They do not pay an additional fee when the crew member is hired.

Q: Does Crew4Yachts have jobs available everywhere?

A:

Yes, because Crew4Yachts is a global online platform, we have employers from around the world searching for qualified candidates.

Q: Do I have to interview with Crew4Yachts?

A:

No. Crew4Yachts is not a traditional agency. There is no interview process. Candidates looking for work must create an online crew profile and upload their relevant, up-to-date employment files: CV/resume, Career-oriented photos, training certificates/licenses, references and any other relevant files, e.g. Sample Menu, Food Photos, Table Settings, etc. Once an online account is created, the crew member apply for jobs posted by the employers directly. Interested employers can then contact qualified candidates directly. However, we do encourage you to stop by our office if you are close by or call us directly if you would like your account reviewed by one of our team members to ensure your profile meets a professional standard.

Q: Once I register and complete my profile, what’s my next step?

A:

Log in every day or 2 to keep your profile active and at the top of the available crew list so employers looking for qualified candidates will see your profile job status. Also, you can start applying to our database of available jobs immediately.

Q: How often do I need to update my CV/resume and other employment files?

A:

Your CV must be updated, at a minimum, every 6 months, or after each work experience. Your photo must be updated every 12 months.

Q: Does Crew4Yachts have a mobile app for crew members?

A:

Yes, it is available for both iPhone and Android users. The app lets crew “check-in” to keep their profiles active and available to employers. It has most of the functions of the desktop version of the website, so crew can use it to apply for available jobs as well. A major update of the current mobile app is underway and will be released some time in the middle of 2020.

Q: Once I get a job, should I notify Crew4Yachts?

A:

Yes! And we’ve made the process very easy. When logging into your profile, simply select “Not Seeking Employment” in the employment status field, and it’s done.
